Stony Brook has partnered with No Place for Hate, a holistic approach to improving school climate developed by the Anti-Defamation League, since 2019. They are a leading civil rights organization that has worked for over a century to “secure justice and fair treatment to all.” The No Place for Hate program is designed to rally an entire school around the goal of creating a welcoming community committed to celebrate diversity, promote respect for differences and challenge bias and bullying. It provides educators and students with the resources to ensure that anti-bias and diversity education are an integral part of our Stony Brook School culture and helps to create and sustain inclusive school environments where all students feel valued. Stony Brook is honored to have received Gold Star recognition for our commitment to the program.
